Overview

Drupal is the official content management system (CMS) of the University of Minnesota. It is an open source content management platform used by many organizations around the world, including institutions of higher education, to build and maintain websites and web applications.

Drupal service offerings

Drupal Enterprise is a full-featured implementation of Drupal Core intended for developers making complex websites. Units who do not have developers on staff but who need complex websites may wish to hire Drupal Consultants through University-Wide pricing agreements.
Drupal Lite is a simpler version of the University's Drupal Enterprise platform. It is geared for anyone who is not a developer but would like to create a small or medium site. Learn more about Drupal Lite.

Is already integrated with the University’s single sign-on
Gives you access to the Folwell Web Theme, a resource library with design and code already in place
Lets you easily add open-sourced modules for custom features
Can be provisioned either without any default roles or content types, or with the default content types and roles included with Drupal Lite as a starting point
