Drupal: Get Help with Your Site

There are multiple avenues for assistance with your OIT-hosted Drupal site, including self-help resources, Drupal Labs, and more.

Drupal Labs

For questions that are not urgent, the Drupal support team offers monthly 3-hour Drupal Lab sessions via Zoom. The meeting will include multiple participants and Drupal support team members. You do not need to attend the entire session.

Who can benefit from attending a Drupal Lab?

Drupal labs are best for Drupal Lite users (any role) and Drupal Enterprise/hybrid website administrators. If you are a content editor on a Drupal Enterprise site, you may need to seek support from the developers in your department or the contractors who built your website. Depending on the degree of customization, the central Drupal team may not be able to speak to the functionality of your specific website, though we are happy to provide best-effort support.

What's appropriate for a lab?

Drupal labs are a good place to ask for advice or to bring projects that you need a little help to complete. Labs are ideal for "how do I" questions or troubleshooting via screenshare. Please note that labs are not a class and work best if you have a specific question or project. If you are looking for training courses, refer to the options in the self-help section above.

Visit the Drupal Lab page on Training Hub to view the upcoming session details and enroll.

Service Requests

Many routine requests, especially for Enterprise sites, are available through our Drupal support request form. Options include but are not limited to:

  • Deploy production code
  • Launch a website
  • Update Website Ownership
  • Decommission website

Technical Support

  • If you are experiencing problems with your site and you are not the website administrator, please try contacting your site administrator first.
  • If you are the website administrator, you do not know who your site administrator is, or they are unavailable, please contact the OIT Drupal Support Team at [email protected]
  • In the case of an emergency outside of business hours (i.e. website down), contact the OIT Service Desk via phone call or chat

Peer Support

There is an active UMN Drupal community in the #Drupal channel in Tech People Slack. Please note that this is not a support avenue for the OIT Drupal team.
