Academic Technology Coordination and Support for Health Sciences advocates on behalf of Health Sciences schools and programs to advance academic technology across the University system while focusing on minimizing duplicative efforts and expenditures within Health Sciences schools and programs.
Health Sciences Endpoint and Software Services
Health Sciences Endpoint and Software Services provides user and endpoint support for University employees working with electronic protected health information (ePHI). Workstation support is comprised of end user support, helpdesk and application support.
Health Sciences Data and Analytics
The Data Services team performs data integration, analysis, reporting, and visualization to support health sciences business functions, strategic decision-making, internal and external reporting requirements, research and scholarship, and continuous quality improvement.
Health Sciences Development and Integrations
The Application Development teams develop and support database-driven web applications for all business aspects of University of Minnesota Health Sciences and its constituents including academic, research, and administrative activities. Project scope includes design, development, production, migration and support for simple communications sites, content-rich school and division sites, and complex database-driven applications. We take on projects starting from scratch and projects migrating existing applications to other platforms. Services are fee based enabling providing flexibility in IT spend for unique collegiate or center efforts.
Health Sciences Infrastructure and Application Hosting
Health Sciences Infrastructure and Applications provides HIPAA-compliant systems in support of unique research, clinical and academic needs for the health sciences. Systems are configured to meet the University of Minnesota security standards for protected health information (PHI). Shared database services are available at no cost. Use cases or datasets requiring dedicated systems and/or databases are available as a fee for service.
Health Sciences Project Management
The Health Sciences Technology (HST) Project Management Office (PMO) team provides project management and business analysis services to University of Minnesota Health Sciences colleges and units.
Health Sciences Research Data Management
The Research Data Management (RDM) team works with research entities, such as Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), to gather, transform and secure clinical research data. Additionally, the RDM group works with researchers to support the data shelter service line for storing and analyzing data sets securely.
