Strategy and Decision Making

Survey responses, including free-form comments, are shared with the people who create technology service strategies and make technology decisions: UMN IT service providers. These leaders are responsible for understanding how, when, and why people use the IT service they provide; if people who use their services have a satisfactory experience; if the service is in demand; and more. Based on survey information, industry and regulatory standards, and other considerations, the service owner develops the strategy and roadmap for continuously improving their services.

Purchasing Processes

Survey data helps inform and shape IT purchasing and RFP efforts, ensuring IT services address all key features and functionality faculty, staff, and students value.

Vendor Management

Comments from students, faculty, and staff help us identify specific issues that service providers can bring to vendor meetings. Feedback is used to engage in productive discussions about fixing bugs, enhancing support, and developing new or improving existing features.
