Getting Access

Access to software licensed by the University is based on University affiliation and sometimes the device on which the software is installed.

It is your responsibility to make sure you are using the software in accordance with the University's Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources policy and software terms and conditions, plus any vendor terms listed below.

UMN's SPSS license may be used for teaching, learning, research, and administrative use. See the Terms and Conditions section for examples of the difference.

Pricing

  • Single user licenses are available for $200.00.
  • Department-wide licenses are available for $5,022.00.
  • College-wide licenses are available for $12,052.00.
  • Collegiate-wide licenses for UMD and Health Sciences available for $17,576.00.

Participating Collegiate Units

The following collegiate units have SPSS license that cover all devices owned by their college.

  • UMD CEHSP / CAHSS / LSBE / ITSS
  • UMTC College of Liberal Arts
  • UMTC College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences
    • SPSS is advertised to centrally managed CFANS computers via Software Center. If you don't see it and need it, please contact [email protected].
  • UMTC College of Education and Human Development
    • SPSS is advertised to CEHD managed devices via Software Center or Jamf.  If you don't see it and need it, please contact [email protected].
  • UMTC Carlson School of Management
  • UMTC Health Sciences

Other Units

Order SPSS licenses through a TDX Service Request form .

Full (annual) and prorated (six-month) licenses are available for single users and department- or college-wide use.
