Service page template
The following heading titles should correspond with the content fields you encounter while creating a Service page in Drupal.
Service name
Typically, the name is chosen by the Service Owner. For a technology, we encourage the use of the technology name and discourage adding the vendor name in the title.
Overview
Provide a description of what users can do with this technology or service. 1-3 sentences, but sometimes more depending on the service/technology.
Highlights
Provide a bulleted list of features for this technology or service. While there is no limit for how many bullets you may use, keep these points brief. Select a few (3-5) features to highlight and provide brief descriptions of each (no more than 2 sentences).
Getting started
Confirm with the Service Owner or SME 2-3 links to resources for new users of the technology or service. Provide additional context, if needed.
Request services (if applicable)
Provide links to request services, such as on-site support. Confirm with the Service Owner or SME that the link can/should be publicly accessible since the Technology Help website is public. Edit under the Content tab, in the Request section.
Sign-in (if applicable)
Provide links to sign in to the tool. Edit under the Content tab, in the Sign In To Tool section.
Cost
Is the technology or service free or fee-based? If free, write "University-funded: No charge." Edit under the Content tab. Select Add Cost in the Costs section.
Banner description
Provide a brief description of the technology or service. No more than 1 sentence. Edit under the Header tab, in the text box called Short Description.
Background image
Using Storyblocks (IP auth/VPN required), find an appropriate banner image (850 x 377 px). Edit under the Header tab, in the Background Image section.
Service offering categories
Connect the page with one or more related service offering categories. Edit under the Categories tab, in the Service Offering Categories section. Select all related service offerings from the list.
