Adobe: Sign-in to Adobe Acrobat, Creative Cloud Products, and Adobe Captivate

Adobe Acrobat Pro is available at no cost for all University and Minnesota faculty and staff. The log in requires using your University credentials.

Licenses must be purchased for Creative Cloud and Captivate before access to the software is provided. Follow the instructions for buying a license based on your intended use.

Note: The web versions of Adobe applications are not available for use with UMN accounts.

Installing Adobe applications

Installation on managed, University-owned computers:

  • In most cases, products for which you are eligible will be available for installation from Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (macOS).
  • If an application is not available, contact Technology Help for assistance.

Installation on personal devices or un-managed, University-owned computers:

  • Installation files can be downloaded using the following links. Individual products can be installed from within the Creative Cloud Desktop application after a Creative Cloud license has been purchased.
  • To install a specific application, select the "Apps" tab on the left side of the Creative Cloud Desktop app and then click the "Install" button for the desired application. The installation status will be displayed near the upper-right corner of the screen. Once the product is available to use, an "Open" button will appear.

Signing in to Adobe applications

  1. Launch an Adobe Application.
  2. When prompted to sign in, enter your full umn.edu email address and click Continue.
    • Note: Do not use the Facebook, Google or Apple account options.
  3. At the Select an account screen, choose Company or School Account.
  4. At the University of Minnesota sign-in screen, use your University Internet ID and password.
  5. If prompted to Select a profile to sign in, choose the REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA option.
