Report Suspected Data Breach
Report suspected potential data breaches immediately to University Information Security. Send email with details to [email protected].
University Information Security (UIS) will investigate your report, and if there has been a breach of security of private University data, UIS will coordinate timely and appropriate notification of affected parties with the responsible unit.
Examples of potential breaches of information security, include:
- A computer containing private data has been hacked and the data has been downloaded.
- Electronic files have been mistakenly posted on the Web or e-mailed to the wrong recipients.
- A laptop, tablets, smartphones, or other electronic storage device has been stolen or lost.
- Paper documents are stolen, lost, misdirected, or left vulnerable to unauthorized acquisition.
