Empathy Mapping

Empathy Mapping is a technique that can be used with personas that your team has already created. It will focus your team on what they imagine any one of the personas is thinking, feeling, hearing, and seeing as they use your product or service.

For this activity, your team will want to include members who can speak to the experiences and context of your customers as they use your product or service.

An example of an Empathy Map Canvas that has six sections surrounding a drawn head facing right and one section within the head itself. The sections are 1) Who are we empathizing with? 2) What do they need to do? 3) What do they see? 4) What do they say? 5) What do they do? 6) What do they hear? 7) What do they think and feel?
