Improvements discovered during Retrospectives can be added as Action items so they can be tracked and acted on. Action Items can be converted to Stories to be included in future planning.
Adding Action Items
- Navigate to Collecting Feedback.
- Expand Teams, then Retrospectives, then select Collecting Feedback.
- Filter by the appropriate Retrospective.
- Refer to Filtering the Content of a View or Folder for instructions.
- Select a Feedback or Feedback Group to open it.
- Select the Action Items tab.
- Select the + icon next to Action Items.
- Enter a Name for the Action Item.
- Check that the correct Team is identified in the Teams field.
- Select Add or Add & Open.
Viewing and managing Action Items
- Navigate to Action Item Backlog.
- Expand Teams, then Retrospectives, then select Action Item Backlog.
- Filter by the appropriate Team or Retrospective if desired.
- Refer to Filtering the Content of a View or Folder for instructions.
Converting Action Items to Stories
- Navigate to Action Item Backlog.
- Expand Teams, then Retrospectives, then select Action Item Backlog.
- Filter by the appropriate Team or Retrospective if desired.
- Refer to Filtering the Content of a View or Folder for instructions.
- Select an Action Item to open it.
- Select the More actions (three dots) menu in the upper right.
- Select Convert to….
- Select Story.
- Note: You may need to modify information in the Action Item before converting it. For instance, a Story can only be assigned to one team at a time, so an Action Item that is assigned to multiple teams will need all but one team removed before converting.
- Set the Value Type to Improvement.
- Expand the Info section.
- Select Improvement from the menu to the right of Value Type.
- Modify the Story as needed.
