Content contributors can associate third-level pages on the Technology Help website with parent pages by selecting other pages in the Categories tab on the Edit screen. Assigning pages to Categories is important so that pages will appear in the See All Resources list for that Category. If the Category is not assigned, that page will not appear in the See All Resources list.
For example, the Canvas: Design an Accessible and Usable Course Site Good Practices page is associated with these Service pages:
- Course Re/design and Development
- Teaching with Technology Consultations & Events
- Canvas
If you go to the See All Resources page associated with each Service page, such as the See All Resources for Canvas, all the pages listed there have had the Canvas Service Category assigned to them.
Selecting Categories
- In the Edit screen of the new site page, select Categories.
- For each category type below, select the content that is selected on the Edit current screen of the current site page. To select multiple categories hold down the CMD key (command).
- Select the Service Offering Categories to associate the page with Portfolio Service Offering pages.
- Select the Service Categories on the new site to associate the page with a Service page for end users.
- Select the Supporting Technology Categories to associate the page with Portfolio Technology pages.
- Select the Service Offering Categories to associate the page with Portfolio Service Offering pages.
