Drupal is the official content management system (CMS) of the University of Minnesota. It is an open source content management platform used by many organizations around the world, including institutions of higher education, to build and maintain websites and web applications. The University has a robust list of available Drupal modules for organizing and presenting your web content.
Versions of Drupal
- Drupal Enterprise 7 will reach end-of-life in November 2021. UMN websites hosted in Drupal 7 must be moved to Drupal 8 by July 2021.
- Drupal Enterprise 8, the newest version of the content management platform, is now available for developers to explore and use. Learn more about the transition from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8
- Drupal Lite is a simpler version of the University's Drupal Enterprise platform. It is geared for anyone who is not a developer but would like to create a small or medium site.
