Overview

Targetprocess is an Enterprise Agile Planning tool that supports Agile Team Work and Portfolio Management. Targetprocess can be used by teams working with Agile or Scaled Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.

Targetprocess should not be used to store private or protected data (social security numbers, passwords, or Protected Health Information, etc.), nor should it store data that could be used to gain access to sensitive or protected data.

Highlights

Targetprocess is free to use for any teams in the University of Minnesota doing IT work using Agile or SAFe methodologies. It is available to IT or IT adjacent staff and partners outside of the health care components.

Targetprocess facilitates the creation and maintenance of Epics, Features and Stories, managing objectives and risks, reviewing work and progress through metrics and reports, and collaboration amongst teams by managing dependencies and providing transparency between teams.

Getting Started

To access Targetprocess, new users must submit a Targetprocess Access Request Form (ARF). The ARF requires supervisor approval, so users should communicate with their supervisors to limit any delay in the creation of their account. ARFs should include both the new user’s team name and role within the team.

Users can request access to the Canvas training module Agile Onboarding for Team Members (EUS851) when submitting their ARF, or by contacting [email protected].

New teams that are part of a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) can be added by the ART’s Release Train Engineer. New teams that are individual Agile teams can be requested using the Targetprocess Modification Request Form

  • Requests should include team name, organization in the front (Example: Libraries Web Team, or CCAPS IT).
  • Note that the team will reside within the Individual Agile Teams ART. Individual team members must submit their own Targetprocess Access Request Form
  • While required roles and number of team members can vary from team to team, each new team must include a Product Manager (PM).
