The following are examples of how University of Minnesota groups have successfully used YouTube.

Student Groups

Since its inception in the 1960’s, the Whole Music Club (located in in the basement of Coffman Memorial Union on the University of Minnesota East Bank campus) has contributed to the cultivation of the Twin Cities' large and diverse music community. What began as a coffee house where students could perform and study, evolved into a nationally renowned venue that offers students the opportunity to see local and national music icons for affordable prices. Academic Applications

Developed by the College of Education and Human Development, videoANT is a video annotation web application. It enables you to take video hosted on YouTube and create annotations within the video. videoANT is free to use and available to all UMN users. Those not affiliated with the UMN can still use this tool using a Facebook or Twitter login. Explore videoAnt.
