TeamDynamix: Supervisor Validation and Delegation
TeamDynamix (TDX) forms that require supervisor approvals are being updated in 2026.
This change is being implemented to enhance security and improve efficiency and should be transparent to both form requestors and their supervisors; you will not see any changes to the look and feel of the request form or the approval pages you interact with.
With this new automated process:
- TDX will validate if the supervisor entered in a form is in fact a supervisor of record for the requestor.
- Supervisors can delegate their approval authority to another user in TeamDynamix. This can be helpful for deans, department heads, or other senior leaders who may have limited time for administrative work, as well as for supervisors planning vacations or leaves.
- Supervisors can set up a delegate by completing a TeamDynamix Supervisor Delegation Request.
Forms currently using Supervisor Validation
All forms that require supervisor approval have been updated as of June 11, 2026, to use validation and delegation.
When completing these forms, a direct supervisor of the requestor should be entered in the Approving Supervisor's Name field.
If a supervisor has designated a delegate in TDX, the delegate will be able to approve the supervisor approvals for these forms.
