Requesting Oracle Access
The appropriate channel for all new Oracle account requests (individual and functional) is to complete the correct Access Request Form (ARF).
There are four Access Request Forms:
- IT Hosted Databases ARF
- This ARF applies to the HOTEL and HTLW8 Databases
- PeopleSoft Oracle Databases ARF
- This ARF applies to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Finance, Human Resources, Portal (IH) and the SNAP
- Legacy Data Warehouse ARF
- This ARF applies the the Legacy Data Warehouse (DWE).
- Enterprise Data Warehouse Administration ARF
- This ARF applies the the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
Once the ARF has been completed, provisioning and requests (PAR) will work on provisioning the requested Schema (Account), along with granting the access requested. For compliance reasons, all Oracle Schemas (Accounts) must be provisioned by PAR. Additionally, PAR is unable to provision Oracle Schemas (Accounts) based on an Incident or Google Form submission. In the event PAR is unable to complete the request on their own, they will engage the database team to assist.
As these Access Request Forms include not only the account requested, but the required approvals, this ensures all Schemas (Accounts) have been vetted before reaching the PAR team. PAR will route these requests to data governors when necessary to provide access to specific data.
