OIT Content Editors who also have Page Publishing permissions can feature news stories on the Technology Help home page. The home page will display the most recent news article that has been promoted to the front page.
Tip: If you have problems with the most recent news article not showing up on the home page as expected, try removing the "promoted" status of the news article being displayed.
Featuring a News Story
- Create a News content type page.
- Select the Edit tab on the page.
- In the right sidebar, scroll to the Promotion Options link and select it.
- A checkbox for Promoted to front page will appear. Select the checkbox so it is checked.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Save button.
Removing a Featured News Story
To remove a news article from being featured on the Technology Help home page, follow these steps.
- Select the link to the stories on the home page that you want to remove from it.
- Select the Edit tab.
- In the right sidebar, scroll to the Promotion Options link and select it.
- A checkbox for Promoted to front page will appear. Select the checkbox so it is unchecked.
