Targetprocess: Create a PI Objective

During PI Planning, the Team PI Objectives can be added to the corresponding University Commitments.

Objectives should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound (SMART). For more guidance on writing Objectives, refer to PI Objectives.

Creating a PI Objective

1. Navigate to Team PI Objectives.
   • Expand ARTs, then PI Planning, then select Team PI Objectives from the left navigation menu.
2. Use the filters at the top to filter to your team.
   • You can also filter for a specific Agile Release Train and Program Increment. 
3. Expand the University Commitment that you want to add the PI Objective to.
4. Select the + icon. This opens a Team PI Objective pop-up window. 
5. Enter the Team PI Objective in the Name field. 
   • Double check that the Teams and Program Increment are correct.
6. Select Add or And & Open.
