Targetprocess: Add Acceptance Criteria to a Story or Feature

Acceptance Criteria is an essential part of a Story or a Feature and is used to define when the Story or Feature is successfully completed.

Each criterion should be a separate item that can be accepted by the Product Manager to validate the work.

Adding Acceptance Criteria to a Story or Feature

  1. Select the Story or Feature to open the details.
  2. Select the Acceptance Criteria tab.
  3. Select the + button and a popup will appear.
  4. Enter a Name for the criterion.
  5. Select Add to continue adding more criteria or Add & Open to add details to the criterion you just created.
    • If needed, you can add a description, comments, and relationships to each criterion. 

Managing Acceptance Criteria

From the Acceptance Criteria tab in a Story or Feature, you can:

  • View the details of a criterion by selecting the criterion Name.
  • Edit the Name by mousing over it and selecting Edit (pencil icon).
  • Change the State from New to Accepted when the criteria is accepted by the Product Manager.
