Handset Volume Control

  • Lift handset.
    1. Some handsets may have a volume wheel adjustment on the inside of the handset. Simply adjust the wheel in desired direction
  • Ring Volume Control
    1. Ring volume switch is located on bottom of the phone. Simply slide left or right to desired setting.

NOTE: This article specifically calls out the beige, single line wall mount phone most commonly encountered around Campus, there are other types of single line "analog" phones that may be hung on the wall where the rest of the article could apply.

 

Data Port

Data Jack on back of phone may be used for alternate analog devices such as a computer modem.

Date and Time Display

No user adjustment of the date and time is available. Date and time is set and controlled through the telephone system.

Display Settings LCD

The [Contrast/Volume] button is located beneath the dialing pad of the phone.

  1. Press right end to increase contrast.
  2. Press left end to decrease contrast. The LCD adjusts for viewing by lifting up the back of the LCD.

Handset Volume Control

  • Press SPKR or lift handset.
  • Press [Contrast/Volume] button.
  • Press right end to increase volume.
  • Press left end to decrease volume. Eight step volume control.

Ring Volume Control

Ring volume switch is located on bottom of the phone.

  1. The tab must be removed to access switch. Move the switch to the desired ring volumes.
    • Off (light still flashes on ring)
    • Lo
    • Hi

Speaker Volume Control

Volume control button is located on the front of the phone.

  1. Press SPKR or lift handset.
  2. Press [Volume Control].
  3. Press right end to increase volume.
  4. Press left end to decrease volume.

* When the handset, speaker or headset volume feature is selected, the volume will automatically stay at that setting for the next use.
