You can use tags to categorize websites and groups within Pope Tech. All users can manage tags for websites, and Group Managers can also manage tags for their groups. Please refer to the vendor's knowledge base article for information on how to use tags.
The Office for Digital Accessibility (ODA) has specific guidance on how they would like certain tags to be used, and adds some tags to websites and groups themselves. Please follow the tag guidelines below.
ODA Guidance for using Tags within Pope Tech
Department Tags
The ODA will be tagging Pope Tech groups to match the department structure in our tracking system. Please do not edit these department tags.
CMS
The ODA will automatically tag Google and Drupal sites and any Wordpress and Squarespace sites we are aware of with their CMS. Please spot-check the CMS tags and update if necessary, and add the CMS for new sites that are added into Pope Tech if you know what it is. Please use the prepopulated tags: "Drupal", "Google", "Wordpress", "Squarespace." If you have a site that is on a different CMS, please let ODA know what it is when you create the tag so we can import it correctly into our tracking system.
Status
The ODA has created two tags to denote site status:
- Tag a site as "Test-Dev" if you would like it to be excluded from the total error counts in our tracking system. Do not mark a site as "Test-Dev" if it is the only instance of that site in Pope Tech and it is being pushed to a live site that is not in Pope Tech.
- Tag a site as "Archived" if you are archiving the whole site and want it to be excluded from the total error counts in our tracking system.
Use the prepopulated versions of these tags; do not create new tags with different spellings or punctuation.
Other Tags
You may create additional tags to organize your sites and groups if desired. The ODA will ignore these additional tags. Currently, there is a limit of 5 tags per site/group. If you require additional tags, please email [email protected] with information about your use case and we will discuss raising the limit with Pope Tech.
