Drupal Enterprise: Insert a Token to Embed Code on Your Website

This article is for content editors with websites on the OIT Drupal platform. If your developer has created an embed token for you, see below for the steps to use the token to embed the desired code. If you are a developer who wants to create an embed token, see Drupal: Generate a Token to Embed Code on Your Website.

Inserting a Token

  1. Edit the content where you would like to embed the code.
  2. Expand the Available tokens accordion underneath the text format to see a list of existing tokens and which text formats support tokens.
  3. Enter the token in the text field where you would like the embed code, including the brackets.
    • Example: [umn_embed:my_token]
    • Note: Embedded content will not display in the WYSIWYG preview
  4. Save the content, and confirm that the embedded code renders as expected.
    • If the content does not render as expected, contact the developer who created the token.
