Getting Started

EndNote is available via a local desktop client. End Users download the EndNote desktop client through the Clarivate EndNote website. End users will download the software individually, entering the license key to install.

EndNote is only approved to be used on up to three Office of Information Technology (OIT) Health Care Component (HCC) supported devices.  End user device information is recorded as part of the EndNote License Request Form.  Users are required by EndNote to have a fully updated client version prior to the application launch.

The Cite While You Write browser extension is optional. This is an optional service which will allow Health Sciences members to insert reference citations into Google documents. UMN Google Admins have created a Google Group (Enable Endnote 25 Cite While You Write) that will be available for those HST EndNote license holders who wish to opt in through the EndNote License Request Form.
