Academic Writer was developed by the creators of APA Style to help students develop writing skills. Academic Writer has content and tools to support student writing in a Learning Center, Reference Center, and Writing Center that can be integrated into Canvas. The Learning Center is designed to teach and reinforce APA Style though tutorials, quick guides, and graded assessments as directed by faculty.
Getting Started
The APA Academic Writer Canvas integration has been requested and is under review. It is not currently available in the UMN instance of Canvas.

The request to integrate APA Academic Writer with Canvas was not prioritized due to capacity limitations during the March 2024 DiaLOG Governance review. Requests (new and old) are welcome. Requests from a variety of stakeholders improve chances of prioritization.
