About My Work
OIT Business Service Teams
What I Do
I support teaching, learning, and research through academic technology at the University of Minnesota. My work focuses on helping faculty design and deliver technology-enhanced courses, integrate technology into their teaching, solve complex problems, provide training to strengthen skills, and advance initiatives in accessibility and instructional innovation. A particular interest of mine is exploring how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to enhance teaching, learning, and the future of higher education
Background
I have been part of the University of Minnesota system since 2022, beginning at the Crookston campus before moving to the Twin Cities. I provided academic technology support, led faculty training, helped redesign courses for digital delivery, and supported campuswide IT operations. Earlier in my career, I held IT leadership and support roles at Winona State University and Indiana University, specializing in classroom technology, help desk management, and faculty support. Alongside my IT work, I bring extensive teaching experience as a professor of piano at institutions including St. Olaf College, St. Cloud State University, and the University of Washington. I hold a Doctorate in Piano Performance from the University of Washington, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Piano Performance from Indiana University. This interdisciplinary background shapes my collaborative, people-centered approach to advancing teaching and learning with technology.
