You can export issues (Features, Stories, Tasks, Bugs, etc) from Jira for future reference.
Exporting Jira Issues
- Navigate to Jira.
- From the top navigation bar, select Filters.
- Filters may be under More depending on your screen size.
- Select Advanced issue search. The Search window opens.
- In the Search window, use the filters to define the issues you want to export (Project, issue Type, etc).
- Note: Jira defaults to only showing issues created in the last 30 days. You can modify or remove this filter.

- If desired, define the data fields you want to export.
- Make sure you are in List View. Type "t" to toggle between Detail View and List View.
- Use the Columns menu to display the data fields you want to export.
- Select Export
. - Select Export Excel CSV (current fields) or Export Excel CSV (all fields). The Excel file will begin downloading.
- Any of the export options in the dropdown can be selected, but Excel CSV (Comma Separated Values) file types work well for most uses.
- Open the downloaded file and save it to a location where you or your team can access it in the future.
