WiFi: Download and Install geteduroam app on an Android Device

If you have tried connecting to WiFi and are still having connectivity issues, downloading geteduroam can generally resolve this. For devices with some previous configuration files installed, you may need to first discard that file before downloading and installing the new file. This article outlines instructions on how to install geteduroam on an Android device.

Downloading geteduroam

  1. Forget or delete any saved eduroam network on your device.
  2. Find geteduroam in the Google Play Store and select Install.

Install

Installing the Configuration Profile

After installing, open the geteduroam application, and you can install the geteduroam configuration profile.

  1. Search for University of Minnesota in the search field on the top of the window and select it to continue. Note: This option works for all UofM campuses.

  1. Agree to the Terms of Use to proceed.

  1. Enter your full University email address and password and select Log in

  1. When asked to save this network select Save.

  1. You can now close the application and connect to Eduroam.
