Enterprise File Transfer and Batch Scheduling System
Transfer enterprise system files with Axway and Autosys
Overview
Business analysts and technology staff who use enterprise systems (such as PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System, and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) must request managed batch scheduling and file transfers from the Production Services team in the Office of Information Technology.
We set up all file transfers using two technologies:
- Axway, the University's secure file transfer system
- Autosys, the system that schedules your Axway transfers
All batch schedule requests—including those without an accompanying file transfer—use Autosys. Autosys uses the PeopleSoft process schedulers to run batch programs according to business process requirements; for example, student records are updated using the batch schedule process.
When you request a file transfer, we perform technical set up, review, testing, and migration work using both systems, which can take anywhere from part of a business day up to 10 business days, depending on the nature of the request.
