Webex Teams: Conference a Call

This article details how to conference two or more calls in the Clearspan Webex Teams (formerly Webex Engage) application used for Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones.

Note: VoIP callers should be aware of certain restrictions to 911 calls. Visit z.umn.edu/voip911 for more information.

  1. While on a call, click the More button .
  2. Select Conference . A new Add a Person window pops up.
  3. Dial the number you would like to conference.
  4. Select Audio .
  5. When the new call connects, click Merge Calls  to bring the calls together.
  6. The call will now show as a Conference.

  7. Repeat steps 1-5 above to add additional lines to your conference.

IMPORTANT: You are the 'call owner.' If you end the call when using Conference Call, then the call is ended for everyone. However, if one of the lines that you conferenced hangs up, the conference will continue for all others.
