Webex Teams: Check for Updates

Clearspan Webex Teams (formerly Webex Engage) is the application used for accessing the Voice Over IP (VOIP) softphone system. Keep the application up to date by checking for updates and running any waiting updates.

Updating on Mac

  1. Launch Clearspan Webex Teams client.
  2. Sign in to Webex Teams
  3. If there are updates waiting, a new update waiting button green arrow in the shape of a circle indicating updates are waiting will appear in the side menu. If this button does not appear, then there are no updates waiting.
  4. Select the updates waiting button.  A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to Install the update and restart Webex.Clearspan Webex Engage client with a new update waiting in the side menu
     
  5. Select Update.
    Popup window stating: "New version available. Install the update and restart Webex?" Options for Cancel | Update.
  6. Your Webex Teams application will restart to install the waiting updates. 

Updating on Windows - Option 1

  1. Launch Clearspan Webex Teams client.
  2. Sign in to Webex Teams
  3. In the main menu, select the Help button.
  4. From the sub-menu, select Check for updates. A pop-up window will appear showing your current version.

  5. Select the Check for updates button.

  6. If there are updates waiting, a pop-up window will appear asking if you want to Install the update and restart Webex. If the pop-up window does not appear, then there are no updates waiting
  7. Select Update.

  8. Your Webex Teams application will restart to install the waiting updates.

Updating on Windows - Option 2

  1. Launch Clearspan Webex Teams client.
  2. Sign in to Webex Teams
  3. Select your profile icon.
  4. From the sub-menu that opens, select Help.
  5. From the secondary sub-menu that opens, select About. A pop-up window will appear showing your current version.

  6. Select the Check for updates button.

  8. Select Update.
