FeedbackFruits: Faculty Engagement Opportunities

FeedbackFruits offers a suite of academic technology tools that support a variety of peer learning activities. The University is currently licensing four FeedbackFruits tools, integrated into Canvas, that support self-assessment, peer review, and group member evaluation.

FeedbackFruits is currently available to all UMN instructors. There are two ways to get started:

Use of one the four FeedbackFruits tools in your courses.
Take part in the pilot of the full suite of 15 FeedbackFruits learning tools. If you would like to try out one or more of the additional tools, complete the pilot registration form.

FeedbackFruits Tool Suite Pilot - Fall 2023 to Spring 2024

Overview

In addition to the four currently available, Canvas-integrated tools, UMN is piloting an additional 11 tools. See a complete list of all FeedbackFruits tools. If you are interested in exploring one or more of the 11 tools, please review the following information on how to get started.

Intended audience: any instructors teaching in the UMN system.

Outcomes

Some FeedbackFruits tools provide functionality similar to what is available in Canvas. During this pilot, we will:

Explore the features and usability of FeedbackFruits tools.
Compare functionality against currently available university-licensed tools.
Compare FeedbackFruits licensing cost with similar tools.
Evaluate student and faculty experience using FeedbackFruits tools.

Timeline

DATE	ACTIVITY
January - February 2024	The FeedbackFruits Tool Suite pilot registration is open.
January - February 2024	FeedbackFruits will add the requested tool/s to your Canvas user account.
January - May 2024	Faculty and students use the piloted tools with ongoing support. At the close of the pilot, we will ask that instructors and their students fill out a survey to evaluate tool usability and effects on learning.
