Grouper: Add a Group as a Member of Another Group

You can add a group as a member of another group. When a group is added as member, the group is a direct member and the members of that group are indirect members. Privileges can be assigned to the group that was added, and all of the members of that group will receive the same privileges.

  1. Select My Groups in the Quick Links in the left navigation.
  2. Select the group from the table. The group members page is displayed
  3. Select the +Add Members button in the top right. The options for adding members expands at the top of the page.
  4. Enter the Group name or a portion of the Group name in the Member name or ID field. A list of matching members (groups) appears.
  5. Select the member (group) that you want to add to the group.
  6. Select Default privileges.
Note: Grouper will grant member privileges to the new member by default. To assign custom privileges, refer to Manage Privileges.
  7. Select Add
  8. The group will now be added as a member to the Grouper group.
