Drupal Enterprise: Add Roles to an Existing User

Drupal website roles and permissions can be set when first creating a user's account. Or, adjusted on an existing user's account at a later date. This article goes over the steps to adjust an existing user's role(s) on a Drupal website.

Note: Your role in Drupal may not have the proper permissions to complete this task. Contact your site administrator for additional information.

  1. Click Menu in the Administrator toolbar.
  2. Click People in the Menu toolbar.
  3. Click edit for the user you want to update.
  4. Click the checkboxes next to the Roles you want to add to the user.
  5. Click Save.
