General Data Storage is no longer used as a one-size-fits-all storage service. OIT's Storage Portfolio Restructuring Initiative (SPRI) now offers storage services that align to your storage requirements. Learn more about SPRI or visit the Storage Selection Tool to explore and request available storage options. 

The technology that delivers General Data Storage will now be used for Departmental Data Storage. OIT will work with departments to migrate data currently stored on General Data storage to one or more of the new services. For example, research data currently on General Data Storage should be moved to the new Research Data Service. 

General Data Storage may also be known as:

• Enterprise Network Attached Storage (eNAS)
• Active directory file storage
• Bulk file storage
