How to be a security ninja
How many of us are guilty of clicking too fast? Accidentally closing a window or a tab when you didn’t mean to? Inputting your email address incorrectly and not stopping to double-check?
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to move too quickly, especially when you’re online. We’re all used to using auto-complete, having multiple tabs open, working on several things at once, and probably checking Facebook at the same time.
However, speeding around the internet can sometimes lead to trouble. If you’re not being careful enough, you could be skimming through your email and click on a phishing scam without reading it or give your personal information to a fraudulent but fancy-looking website. Digital criminals or scammers try to take advantage of the fact that a lot of people are moving too quickly to pay close attention sometimes.
That’s why it’s important to stop, think, and then click while you’re online. Think of it as being a security ninja. Ninjas are fast and efficient, but above all they’re careful.
