Google Search Appliance to be retired

Google is retiring the Google Search Appliance (GSA) at the end of 2018. In advance of this change, the University of Minnesota will adopt Google’s Custom Search Engine.

We wanted to share this news so that your units are aware that changes for online search are on the horizon. Teams from University Relations and the Office of Information Technology are working on a migration plan from Google Search Appliance to Custom Search Engine. Early testers have been identified and training and self-help resources are in development.
