What I Do

Khaled Musa serves as the University of Minnesota's Director for the Office for Digital Accessibility, where they lead with passion and purpose to ensure digital spaces are inclusive and accessible to all. With a deep commitment to breaking down barriers, Khaled collaborates with teams across industries to design and implement innovative accessibility strategies that empower individuals of all abilities.

In their free time, Khaled enjoys Sports, exploring nature trails, and loves reading about inclusive design , and code development which fuels their creative approach to problem-solving.

Background

Khaled has over 15 years experience designing program curricula, teaching computer applications, writing user documentation, and conducting technology testing. He holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the City University of New York, Queens College and is a Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist (CATIS), offered by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals - ACVREP

As a computer science professional and a user of assistive technology, he is a self taught expert on accessibility and compliance. He regularly conducts website and documentation compliance audits and frequently presents on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCGA) 2.0 and 508 accessibility guidelines to interested audiences across campus.
