You can test emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SMC) to ensure the content and design is correct before sending.
Testing
Use the Preview and Test tab to send test emails to stakeholders for review prior to sending your email.
- Select Preview and Test from the menu.
- Select the Test Send tab.
- Under the INDIVIDUALS tab, enter your email address and up to four additional email addresses of anyone else who should receive the test email.
- Press Enter after adding each email.
- Under Content Personalization Options, ensure that Based on Preview is selected.
- Under Additional Options, select Default Transactional from the dropdown menu and choose a Sender Profile from the dropdown menu.
- The Sender Profile specifies the From information for a send. Typically, this is the sign-off from your source (typically a Google Doc).
- Leaving the Sender Profile as Default will use IT Communications as the From information.

- Select Send Test.
- After receiving your Test email, review content and layout, and double-check links.
- Note: The link at the very top of the email will not work on a Test send. It will work once the final email has been sent.
