UMContent provides digital asset management features by automatically creating multiple renditions of an image file when it is checked in. This saves the contributor from having to resize and check in an image multiple times, such as when a thumbnail and full-size version of the same image is needed.
The renditions created will be a thumbnail when a .png or .jpg file is checked into UMContent, along with the original size image. This default rendition set is called DefaultUofM. Other options are also available; see the table below.
Selecting a Rendition
Insert an image from the WYSIWYG editor, but instead of selecting Insert from the Search Results window, select the small camera icon under the Actions column for the image you want to use.
The Rendition Information page for that item will appear under a new tab.
