Jamf Pro defaults to an exact match when searching, requiring you to add wildcard characters as appropriate. OIT’s Apple Product Support Team strongly recommends you update your search settings to return more matches. You can do so with the following procedure:
Log into Jamf Pro by going to z.umn.edu/casperadmin
Click on your user name in the upper right hand corner and select 'Account Preferences'
Click on the 'Search Preferences' tab.
For each sub-tab (Computers, Mobile Devices, & Users), update all pop-up boxes to either ‘Contains’ or ‘Starts with’
