Hello. In this video, I will show you how to upload and download files to and from your NetFiles account. Please note, your experience may differ slightly depending on your browser and it’s configuration.
There are two ways to upload files. I’m going to show you the Basic Upload method first.
To begin, click Upload. You may get a pop-up asking you to allow the applet access to your computer. Always say allow.
The Basic Upload screen appears the first time you upload a file.
To upload a single file, Browse, and select the file you want to upload. Use Add File to add more files.
If you need to delete a file from the list, click the X on the right.
Finally, click Start Upload.
The upload process finishes and the files appear in your directory.
If you want to upload multiple files or folders, use the Advanced Upload option.
Click Upload, and then click the Advanced Upload link.
Now I can drag and drop content in to the files area. I’m going to drag this folder.
I’m done adding content so I’ll click submit. The files upload. And now my uploaded folder appears in the file list.
I can open it and here are my files.
By the way, NetFiles remembers which upload option was last used so the next time you go to upload, you’ll see the screen for that option.
Now, if you want to download a file,
You can right-click on it and choose Save to Desktop, or, simply double-click on the file, and save it.
Another nifty option available when you right-click on a file is Open in Browser. Your browser will display the file if it can read it. Otherwise it will ask to download.
If you want to download multiple files or folders:
Select the content you want to download.
Go to More Actions and select Save to Zip File.
You can now save.
This is it for uploading and downloading content. In the next video, you'll learn how to share content.
