TDD2 Telephone: Phone Settings

 

A TDD is a Telecommunications Device for the Deaf or hard of hearing, and acts as a teleprinter, or an electronic device for text communication over a telephone line that is designed for use by person with hearing or speech difficulties.

 

Data Port

The data jack on the back of phone may be used for alternate analog devices such as a computer modem.

Date and Time Display

No user adjustment of the date and time is available. Date and time is set and controlled through the telephone system.

Display Settings LCD

The [Contrast/Volume] button is located beneath the dialing pad of the phone.

  1. Press right end to increase contrast.
  2. Press left end to decrease contrast. The LCD adjusts for viewing by lifting up the back of the LCD.

Handset Volume Control

  1. Press SPKR or lift handset.
  2. Press [Contrast/Volume] button.
  3. Press right end to increase volume.
  4. Press left end to decrease volume. Eight step volume control.

Ring Volume Control

The ring volume switch is located on bottom of the phone. The tab must be removed to access the switch.

  1. Move switch to desired ring volumes.
    • Off (light still flashes on ring)
    • Lo
    • Hi

Speaker Volume Control

The volume control button is located on the front of the phone.

  1. Press SPKR or lift handset.
  2. Press [Volume Control].
  3. Press right end to increase volume.
  4. Press left end to decrease volume.
  • When the handset, speaker or headset volume feature is selected, the volume will automatically stay at that setting for the next use.
