Storage for Servers
Storage for Servers is used for specific environments such as databases and virtual servers that require more storage resources to meet performance needs. Typically, Storage for Servers is used by departments and researchers needing a guaranteed high level of performance.
Designed for use by servers as a blank space to store data, Storage for Servers stores data in "blocks" of a preset size. In it's most basic form, it looks like a hard drive attached to a server, and users may install an operating system, and associated applications and files within that operating system, to the allocated space. Data is protected using scheduled backups supported by IT.
Storage is allocated on a per server basis.
