The Academic Technology Tools service provides technologies to support teaching and learning. We manage the University’s suite of academic technologies in a systematic and coordinated approach including: Learning Management System (Canvas) and applications such as Turnitin, VoiceThread, Qualtrics and a growing number of Learning Tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Selecting technologies that best meet University of Minnesota community needs
  • Implementing centrally supported academic technologies by working with others in IT and with vendors
  • Maintaining, modifying, and improving centrally supported academic technologies through the OIT Demand process, and in response to feedback from users at the University of Minnesota
  • Keeping the University community informed about upgrades, changes, outages, and other issues of interest related to centrally-supported academic technologies
