Zoom: Online Meeting Tool Transition Governance Committee

Charter

The Online Meeting Tool Transition Governance Committee (OMTTGC) will provide system-wide and collegiate input during the transition from Webex to Zoom. The transition will begin February 2019 and run through October 2019. This committee will partner with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to provide input regarding collegiate and campus needs and perspectives to ensure decision-making is inclusive and serves University needs systemwide. The committee will work to ensure implementation of a secure and sustainable system that supports the teaching and learning, administrative, research, clinical and outreach needs of the UMN community.

Goals

The Online Meeting Tool Transition Governance Committee will do the following:

  • Make initial Zoom feature configuration decisions
  • Advise on configuration and setting changes, such as those related to roles, permissions, reporting, and features.
  • Advise on processes related to selecting, prioritizing, and integrating third-party applications
  • Collect and share feedback from the community to improve service and support.
