All departments at the University of Minnesota are eligible to use WorkflowGen for their business processes.
Creating a simple workflow process with the form designer will require business analyst skills and WorkflowGen training. More complex processes with database integration and/or using custom forms (not created with the form designer) will require the business analyst to work with someone with junior developer (C#) skills.
WorkflowGen is meant to be used as a processing application only, and should not be used to collect or store private data. If your workflow requires the use of private or protected data, that data must be stored within a University managed and supported networked environment designed for storing this data, such as PeopleSoft.
Examples of legally private data include Social Security numbers, birth dates, gender, ethnicity, citizenship, credit card numbers, home phone numbers, home addresses, health information, and non-directory student information like schedules, classes taken and grades.
All students, staff, and faculty can use WorkflowGen to start and manage requests.
