Moodle 3.2: Grade Kaltura Video Assignment Submissions

Kaltura Video Assignments allow students to submit video files as an assignment in Moodle.

Grading a single Kaltura video submissions

  1. Go to the course homepage.
  2. Find the video assignment and click its link.
  3. Click Grade submissions.
  4. In the Status column, click Grade for a user with a video submission.
    1. Click Preview to see the video.
    2. Click Grade to assign a grade.
    3. Click Feedback to type in feedback.
    4. Scroll down and click Save changes.
  5. Repeat steps 3-4 for other submissions.

Quickly grading multiple Kaltura video submissions

  1. Go to the course homepage.
  2. Find the video assignment and click its link.
  3. Click Grade submissions.
  4. Scroll down and check the Allow quick grade box.
  5. Click Save preferences. The page will reload.
  6. Review a submission:
    1. Click the video thumbnail. The video opens in a new window.
    2. When done reviewing, close the video window.
  7. Grade a submission by choosing a grade from the Grade column dropdown menu.
  8. Type feedback directly in the Comment column boxes.
  9. Scroll down and click Save feedback.
  10. If you have more than one page of submissions, go to the next page and repeat steps 6-9.
    Note: You must save before going on to the next page.
  11. When you are done grading, return to the course homepage.
