Moodle 3.2: Evaluate Peer Assessment within a Workshop

During the Grading Evaluation Phase, instructors can review students' work in completing peer assessments during the Assessment Phase. Instructors can override a peer reviewers score or the student's submission score if necessary.

Reviewing Peer Assessment

  1. Click the appropriate Workshop link on the homepage.
  2. On the Workshop page, scroll to the submissions/assessments table and click a submission filename. The student submission page opens.
  3. If there are multiple peer assessments, click Assessment settings for a student. You may have the option to click Assessment form and review peer assessments on the Assessed submissions page.
  4. On the Assessed submission page, change the peer Assessment weight (ex. 0-16).
  5. Click Save and close.

Overriding the peer reviewer score and giving feedback to the reviewer

  1. Click the appropriate workshop link on the homepage.
  2. Select the Grading Evaluation phase of the workshop.
  3. Scroll to the submissions„assessments table and click a submission filename link. The student submission page opens.
  4. To change a peer reviewer score and give the reviewer feedback
    1. Click the word Assessment above the name and picture of the reviewer. The reviewer's assessment page opens.
    2. Expand the Override grade for assessment menu and choose a new grade.
    3. Enter comments in the Feedback for reviewer text box if desired.
  5. Click Save and close.

Overriding the submission score and giving feedback to the submitter

  1. Click the appropriate workshop link on the homepage.
  2. Select the Grading Evaluation phase of the workshop.
  3. Scroll to the submissions/assessments table and click a submission filename link. The student submission page opens.
  4. Click the title - student name at the top of the page.
    1. The page expands revealing the instructions for submission above the student name area.
    2. You can shrink the page some by clicking the Assessment form next to a peer evaluator's name.
    3. If there are multiple peer assessments, click Assessment settings for a student.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the student submission page to the Feedback for the author area.
  6. Choose a new score from the Override grade for submission drop-down menu.
  7. Enter comments in the Feedback for author textbox if desired.
  8. Click Save and close.
