IPv6 Setup Guides: Windows 7

For Windows 7, IPv6 is installed and enabled by default. IPv6 information is available from the Command Prompt or the Network and Sharing Center in the Control Panel.

Network and Sharing Center

  1. Click the Network icon by the date and time
  2. Click Open Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Under View Your Active Connections, click on your connection (Local Area Connection or Wireless Connection).
  4. In the Connection Status dialog box, click the Details button.

You can find the IPv6 information towards the bottom of the Network Connection Details window.

Command Prompt

  1. Click the Start button
  2. Navigate to All Programs „ Accessories
  3. Choose Command Prompt.
  4. At the C:\ prompt enter ipconfig „all.
