High stakes quizzes or exams

Proctorio with recording comes with some limitations and warnings you should heed.

  • You must include a practice quiz with the high stakes settings to allow students to test and experience Proctorio.  You can import one from the Commons by searching for "Proctorio Practice Quiz"
  • Students without video capability will not be able to enter the exam.  You will need to create a copy of your exam, change the settings to not record, and assign those students to that exam.
  • You cannot change Proctorio settings once any student begins the test!
  • Allow a 2-3 day window for students to take the exam.  Students may experience connectivity issues because recording requires more bandwidth.  Suggest if they are having problems they test at a different time to avoid the internet rush hours.

Low stakes quizzes

  • You cannot change Proctorio settings once any student begins the test!

2. Scroll down and click Save if you are still planning on editing the quiz more or Save & Publish if you would like your students to now see the quiz.
